We started off our Labor Day concerts with a wonderful program and very receptive audience. Our world-class musicians were outstanding as they performed the music of Door County composer Edward Collins, Franz Joseph Haydn, and Edvard Grieg. This same program can be heard Thursday, September 3 at Ephraim Moravian Church and Saturday, September 4 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ephraim. Don’t miss flutist Jean Berkenstock, violinists David Perry and Stephanie Preucil, violist Sally Chisholm, and cellist Walter Preucil. Advance reservations are recommended although tickets are available at the door.

Our second program – Celebration! – features the music of Liebermann, Schoenfield, and Schumann. If you haven’t heard Cafe Music by Paul Schoenfield you’re in for a real treat! This is an outrageous piece of music performed by violinist David Perry, cellist Walter Preucil, and guest pianist Craig Terry. This will be performed on Friday, September 3 at Shepherd of the Bay in Ellison Bay and Sunday, September 5 at Ephraim Moravian Church. Sunday’s performance begins at 3:00 PM while all others begin at 7:30 PM.

We wrap up our 2010 festival with a joint gala on Labor Day, Monday, September 6 at Birch Creek. This joint benefit is with HELP of Door County, Midsummer’s Music, and The Ridges Sanctuary. Don’t delay because this event is almost sold out! All proceeds benefit each organization. It’s a wonderful event for three wonderful organizations. Advance reservations are required for this event. Please click on the Calendar of Events link at the top of this page.

We look forward to making a joyful noise this weekend!
